Before kids, my clothing was neatly pressed, folded perfectly, arranged by garment type, color, pattern, and fabric. After kids, I just throw stuff in a heap on the floor in the corner. I pack away items that are out of season, take out those items I got at the end-of-the-season clearance sales the year before, and figure out what to recycle, gift, donate, and just plain throw away. I have “met” so many bloggers out there who are busily spring cleaning their homes and I’ve read some really great decluttering, cleaning, and organizing tips and tricks. I don’t like cleaning. I’d much rather alphabetize my books by author’s last name and reshelve them with the spines aligned. BUT I have to admit the spaces we have cleaned and organized so far, the living room and the kitchen, look great and feel fresh like spring. Today is Spring Cleaning Party Kitchen Cleaning Day 1.
