I stopped buying paper towels almost two years ago, and I love it! I bought a big pack of white washcloths for $4 at Walmart, and yes, there’s one extra load of laundry a week–but that’s nothing (especially when I get my laundry detergent so cheap). Well worth it, and we’re not hurting trees. Glad to see this series on conquering waste!

I haven’t had carrot cake in a long time. I don’t think I ever really liked it though, but I don’t remember. I’d prolly try it again if I had the chance. I should go out and get some. If I don’t like it, my husband will eat it xD

Thank you. I didn’t know that Swedish cuisine used allspice and cardamom so much. I am going have to dig up some Swedish recipes to try.

Thanks for the source! I have heard that PUL is most often used for making diaper covers. the PUL I used is a 1ml I think. You can also get sandwich PUL which is laminated on both sides. The Co-op buying prices are a bit cheaper @ ~$6.XX/yrd +S/H but the lead time is much greater than other retailers.

I love your Feb change…aren’t those baggies and little tins so much cuter than the plastic baggies! We love our snack taxis and tiffin sidekicks for our snacks and food storage!
I also love your March change…spreading the word is so important! We just took a “field trip” to our landfill and came away feeling very passionate about reducing our waste.
