Thank you for this wonderful series of posts! It is so important to be conscious of packaging and what we can do as consumers to cut down on waste.

One thing I can do as a consumer is to call the customer feedback number provided on most products and tell them that I think they use too much packaging. Once a company actually hears from consumers about what they'd like to see, they'll respond if there are enough people speaking up.

In addition, I think if a company makes a product that has packaging that can't be recycled easily, they should be (financially) responsible for what happens to that waste after the consumer is done with it. That would force them to think more efficiently about packaging material and amount.

We are definitely accustomed to excess! Good point. That is the cause of many of our problems.

I agree. We use Winder Farms and they pick up the used bottles but it is more expensive than regular grocery store milk.
I love the concept you are working out here on your blog! I will be back to check out more posts.

I have an iPhone and it automatically uploads the pictures to iPhoto when I plug it into my Macbook. I would try googling your specific phone to see what others have done.

I try to get our meat from a local meat market who gets their meat from local farmers. It is just wrapped in freezer paper, no plastic. And the meat is soooo much better than from a grocery store.

Gina, I am impressed! with three little ones I can just imagine the messes that call you out each day. Taking a paper towel is so quick, it takes a bit more to launder all the washies, cloths, and dish towels we dirty each day. But if you can do it, busy mom of three, I guess I can too. :) thanks for the encouragement.
