bagel nostalgia

BagelMaking3I was baking this morning to use up some of the 5lbs of King Arthur bread flour I have left over. Having switched to a gluten-free diet, I was feeling a little nostalgia baking up these bagels.

BagelMaking1BagelMaking2Even so, I didn’t feel an urge to rip open that chewy crusty outer and tear off a piece of the soft steamy center to pop into my mouth because the stomach ache that would ensue would certainly make the whole thing not worth it.
