I was baking this morning to use up some of the 5lbs of King Arthur bread flour I have left over. Having switched to a gluten-free diet, I was feeling a little nostalgia baking up these bagels.
Cinnamon sugar and poppy-seed…my favorite.

Even so, I didn’t feel an urge to rip open that chewy crusty outer and tear off a piece of the soft steamy center to pop into my mouth because the stomach ache that would ensue would certainly make the whole thing not worth it. These are going to my husband’s office-mates tomorrow. Enjoy…oh, the recipe I use is here.

Those look amazing! I am going to have to try these toppings next!
I found you through Hip Mountain Mama…would you have suggestions on how to do them GF? I too am GF! I love bagels but the traditional ones would just rip me up.

The bagels were delicious. Thank you for sending some in with Mike. Shannan went and got some veggie cream cheese and sun dried tomato cream cheese. They were the perfect size. The bagels made my day.
You make your own bagels?!?! I always thought they were too complicated. My kids love bagels! I will have to try these.
